Starboard
The messages everyone loves, showcased automatically.
A huge joke, a perfect screenshot, a message that moves everyone: three days later, nobody can find it. Starboard keeps all of that. When enough members react with the same emoji, the message is copied to a showcase channel, with its author, its image and a link back to it.

What it’s for
Your members vote
Nobody on your team has to sort or copy anything. A reaction is all it takes.
A live counter
The reaction count updates itself on the showcased message.
Your server’s memory
A channel to find the best moments again, even those from six months ago.
How it works
Pick the showcase channel
The channel where the best messages will appear. It’s the only truly required setting.
Set the emoji and threshold
The emoji used to vote (a star by default) and the number of reactions to reach.
Exclude the channels to ignore
Staff channels, tests, inside jokes: their messages never make it to the showcase.
Your members react
As soon as the threshold is reached, the message goes to the showcase on its own, with its author and image.
Settings
- Showcase channel
- Where the best messages are displayed. Until it’s picked, nothing happens.
- Emoji to use
- The reaction that counts toward the showcase. A star by default, yours to change.
- Reactions needed
- The number of reactions to enter the showcase. 3 by default, never less than 1.
- Like your own message
- On, the author’s reaction on their own message counts. Off by default.
- Ignored channels
- Add as many channels as you like. Messages from them can’t enter the showcase.
What your members see
React with the emojiThe only thing to do. When the threshold is reached, the message goes to the showcase on its own.
Remove your reactionThe counter goes down. At zero reactions, the message leaves the showcase.
Good to know
The emoji has to be exactly the same. If your setting is a yellow star and a member reacts with a shooting star, it doesn’t count.
Keep the showcase channel quiet, with no chatting. To find a message already showcased, the bot only checks the channel’s last 50 messages: beyond that, the counter stops updating.
If reactions drop, the counter goes down too. At zero reactions, the message leaves the showcase.
