Events

A raid, a party, a tournament: you announce it, members sign up for their position.

Organizing an event by hand means a message buried in chat, lost “I’m in” replies, and on the day nobody knows who’s coming or who does what. Here, you announce the event: everyone answers Going, Maybe or Not going and picks their position, the waitlist moves on its own, reminders go out before the start, and you check off who showed up.

What it looks like in your server.

What it’s for

01

Slots, not messages

Tank, healer, DPS, goalkeeper, striker: you define the positions and how many of each, and everyone clicks theirs. When it’s full, the waitlist takes over.

02

Nobody forgets

One reminder the day before, another an hour before, in the channel and by DM if you want. The native Discord event is created alongside, with its bell.

03

Know who you can count on

After the event, staff check off who attended, and the bot keeps track of everyone’s reliability.

How it works

  1. Pick the channel

The events channel, the panel title and its tagline. Every event card will be posted there.

  2. Prepare the positions

The default positions, in your community’s own words, and how many slots each one has. No fixed positions on your server? Leave the list empty.

  3. Staff announce it

A title, a date, a time, a duration. The card appears with its buttons, and so does the Discord event.

  4. Then, the wrap-up

Staff check off who attended. Meanwhile, reminders and the waitlist did their job on their own.

What your members see

  • Going, Maybe, Not going

The three buttons on the card. Members can change their mind anytime.

  • Pick your position

When the event has positions, members take theirs. If it’s full, they join the waitlist and move up automatically when a slot opens.

  • Announce an event

The panel button, for those allowed to organize.

Good to know

  • Events are your server’s official gatherings, announced by staff. For an outing a member sets up themselves, use Group activities. Your server can have both.

  • Times are shown in each reader’s local time, wherever they live.

  • A slot that opens up is offered to the waitlist, with nobody having to lift a finger.
