Translation
Drop a flag on a message, and it’s translated for everyone.
On a server where not everyone speaks the same language, half the messages get lost. Members copy sentences into a translator, or don’t reply at all. Translation does the work in place: drop a flag on a message, and the translation shows up right below. It can also link channels or translate a whole role.

What it’s for
One click, not copy-paste
The member drops their language’s flag on the message, the translation arrives below.
One channel per language
Everything posted in your announcements channel arrives translated in your English channel, automatically.
Announcements, identical
From one channel to another, when Ultiz posted it, the translated copy keeps the same layout, banner included.
How it works
Turn on flag translation
It’s the module’s first tab. Nothing else to set up: your members can use it right away.
A member drops a flag
The translation appears, then the flag is removed from the message so the next person can use it.
Link two channels
In the Auto-Translate tab, say where messages come from, where they go, and in which language.
Translate a whole role
In the By role tab, every message from a member with that role is translated without them doing anything.
Settings
- Flag translation
- The top switch. On, any member can translate a message by dropping a flag on it.
- Translation style
- 3 looks to choose from: a green block with the author’s name, a plain message, or a message posted under their name and avatar.
- Reply in a thread
- The translation goes into a thread attached to the message, instead of the channel. Keeps the channel clean.
- Auto-delete
- The translation disappears after the number of seconds you choose, up to 300. At 0, it stays.
- Configuration name
- In the Auto-Translate tab, just to find your way around. 16 characters max, for example news-en.
- Source channels
- The watched channels: everything written there gets translated. You can add several.
- Target channels
- The channels where translations are posted. Several too, if you like.
- Source language
- Leave it empty and the bot detects the message’s language. Setting it makes the translation more accurate.
- Target languages
- One or more. The bot sends one translation per chosen language.
- Delete the original message
- The original message is deleted, only the translation remains.
- Skip if same language
- If the message is already in the target language, the bot posts nothing.
- Style and auto-delete, per rule
- Each rule has its own look and its own auto-delete delay, just like flags.
- One role, one language
- In the By role tab: pick a role, the target language and the look. Every message from a member with that role is translated on the spot.
What your members see
React with a flagThe member drops their language’s flag on a message. The translation arrives, then the flag is removed.
/translateThe member gives the language code (en, fr, es, de...) and their text. The translation appears in the channel.
Good to know
The bot recognizes 78 flags (France, United Kingdom, United States, Spain, Germany, Japan, Brazil...). A flag outside that list triggers nothing.
Flags translate text: an image on its own gives nothing. And a very long message is cut, only the first 1000 characters are translated.
Deleting the original message really erases it. Keep that for an announcements channel, never for a chat channel.
